With the 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup truck being years away, there is precious little that can be safely said at this point. Still, no reason not to start early, right?
2019 Ford Ranger Pickup Truck Release Date
We can expect the 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup truck no sooner than late 2018 or possibly even early 2019.
Price of Ford Ranger 2019
The price is not easy to pin either, but our bet is roughly $21,000 for the base version.
Ford Ranger Exterior
There is very little to go on when it comes to the exterior of the 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup truck, but we can safely assume that a number of design elements will carry over from current and upcoming models.
There are rumors surrounding three possible cab configurations, including extended and crew. This is about the only mid-size truck that still bothers with a ‘regular’ cab. Any changes should affect the functionality rather than overall style.
This does not mean there won’t be chrome elements for that added impression, though. New lights, doors and body line should come as no surprise, and new, lighter materials should ensure handling and fuel consumption are both on the level.
Interior of 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup
On the inside, the 2019 Ford Ranger Pickup truck should look a lot classier than its previous models, but this is still very much a speculation on our part. There is absolutely nothing solid to go on right now.
Still, there should be plenty of updates ready by the time it reaches the assembly line. Such as it is, there should be less buttons and controls on the center stack, freeing up space and grouping them together in a more practical manner.
Infotainment needs should be covered by the latest SYNC system, especially on higher trims. That means Bluetooth, navigation and satellite radio from the start. Also, there is a possibility for a hands-free phone operation, voice recognition as well as the 360-degree cameras for added safety.
As for the upholstery, lower trims will have to settle for cloth and vinyl while leather is reserved for those willing to pay a little extra. The same goes for wood and metal inserts. There will be a number of cab options, but more on that as the info actually becomes available.
Engine
Since this is a 2019 model we are talking about, it is still very much a mystery as to what kind of engine Ford Ranger Pickup truck will have to offer.
Considering the current and the upcoming lineup, however, it is not too difficult to venture a guess into what lies ahead. The basic option will most likely be the updated version of the current 3.2 L engine with 185 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
Another version might be the 2.7L EcoBoost V-6 with 325 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The top of the line, unless they come up with something else entirely, should be a variation of the 3.5 L V-6 complete with 278 ponies and 265 lb-ft of torque. As for transmission, a 6-speed manual and the automatic version with just as many gears can be expected.
Saving now for the Ranger 4×4!!
